Office of Undergraduate Research
Undergraduate research is defined as "an inquiry or investigation conducted by an undergraduate student that makes an original intellectual or creative contribution to the discipline" (Council on Undergraduate Research [CUR], 2020). The measurable benefits of undergraduate research on student academic, personal, and professional development can be qualified and quantified. As an office primarily focused on promoting and creating opportunitities, it is our responsibility and honor to cultivate student success through innovative approaches to enhancing undergraduate research - meeting the diverse needs and interests of Morganites across all disciplines.
The Office of Undergraduate Research (O.U.R.) is an academic unit under the Division of Academic Affairs, and the Office's initiatives can be directly tied to Goals 1 & 3 of the University's Strategic Goals 2021-2030.
