Office of Development
The Office of Development coordinates and manages fundraising activities to provide support for Morgan State University operations, special programs, endowment and scholarships. The office is responsible for annual giving, major and planned giving, corporate and foundation giving, and an extensive infrastructure that includes donor research, donor record maintenance, and information services.
What We Do
- Annual Giving
The Office of Development conducts annual fundraising campaigns and special events to promote and solicit support the following constituent groups: alumni, faculty, staff, parents, friends, board of directors, etc). The primary vehicles used for annual fund solicitations include mail, phone, and electronic communications. - Foundation and Corporate Giving
The Office of Development is responsible for cultivating relationships with corporations and foundations that result in gifts and pledges, research awards, and collaborations to support a wide range of university developmental and program needs. - Major Gifts and Planned Gifts
The Office of Development is responsible for working with the deans of the schools to identify, engage and solicit individuals with capacity to make outright and deferred gifts in the $10K giving range. - Special Events
Signature events managed by the Office of Development include the annual Scholarship Luncheon, the Annual Golf Tournament, Alumni Day and Homecoming.
