Advancing Student Achievement & Performance (ASAP)

About ASAP

The Advancing Student Achievement & Performance (ASAP) program is housed within the School of Community Health and Policy (SCHP). At the core of SCHP's guiding principles and values (ACCESS) are community engagement and social justice/health equity. The program will focus on improving academic and professional outcomes, through a variety of action-oriented strategies, for underrepresented students seeking careers in health and other health-related fields.

Mission Statement
The ASAP program seeks to provide an array of educational and applied learning opportunities designed to help students majoring in Nursing, Nutritional Sciences, and Health Education set realistic academic and professional goals. The program is also designed to help students make early and informed decisions about their future persistence and success in the school's pre-health professional programs.
