The Capital Markets Lab
The Capital Markets Lab (CML) is a state-of-the-art financial electronic lab that delivers real-time market data feeds, news and news analysis from exchanges, brokerages houses, media and financial services firms using the following tools and platforms: Bloomberg Terminals and workstations, StockTrak trading simulation tool, the Stock Ticker Tape and the Financial LCD screen. The CML brings realism to our classrooms, enhances the academic programs, and builds core industry skills through offering professional training programs that enhance the education process.
The programs and activities that are currently offered in the Capital Markets Lab include the Bloomberg Terminal Training, Bloomberg Market Concepts Certificate, Research Projects, Financial Excel and Power BI Workshops, the Investment Club, MSU Stock Market Challenge, Training and Seminars from industry professionals. The CML plays a major role in providing students with the opportunity to learn in a state-of-the-art environment, delivering technical, personal and interpersonal skills where broad competencies are developed. The CML enhances current curriculum, student recruitment through certifications, alumni relations, provides and acts as a link to the business community and supplies in-house employment.
