LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE

Curricula

Our graduate curricula includes seminars and workshops in history, natural systems, drawing, and technology, coupled with a series of design studios and student-chosen electives in sustainability, architecture, visual arts, natural resources, and urban affairs and planning.

Below are sample sequences for the 75-credit MLA degree track, the 60-credit MSLA track, and the 150-credit BSAED MLA 3+2 track. The MLA track is a three-year, first-professional accredited degree for individuals seeking to become landscape architects but have no previous background in design. The track consists of 66 core and 9 elective credits, and normally requires three years full-time study. Students choosing to enroll part-time can extend their studies over a longer period of time. For students with previous coursework in design or a professional undergraduate degree in landscape architecture, architecture, or city and regional planning can apply for Advanced Standing in the MLA track and may be waived from certain courses, reducing their total credits required to earn the MLA degree.
