Internal Research Council (IRC)
The Morgan State University Internal Research Council (IRC) is established to provide input to the Vice President for Research and Economic Development (VPR&ED), and ultimately the President on strategic issues related to the research and technology transfer enterprise at Morgan. The IRC is charged to provide recommendations to the VPR&ED in the formulation, review and application of existing and future policies and guidelines as they relate to the initiation, funding, and implementation of academic research for all of Morgan' Schools, Colleges, Centers, and Institutes. The Morgan State University IRC aims to: i) provide a platform for communicating research and technology commercialization related issues between the administration and Morgan faculty; ii) foster research collaborations between and among the various Morgan Schools and Colleges and other research entities; create a supportive, enabling, and rewarding environment for research and technology commercialization at Morgan State University. In essence, the IRC advocates the needs of the faculty and other researchers; analyzes policies, services and procedures that affect research; and makes recommendations which will facilitate the research process and greatly enhance research vitality and entrepreneurism at Morgan State University. The Internal Research Council is endorsed and supported by the Deans and the President of Morgan State University.
