Clubs Within The SRC
The SRC's constitution and bylaws allow ad-hoc clubs to be created under the organization. The clubs' purposes are to align with the mission and vision of the SRC. In addition to the constitution and bylaws set forth by the SRC executive board, each club must adhere to the ad-hoc club policy.
The first club to be created under the SRC is the Design-Health Club. The Design-Health Club is an opportunity to exchange ideas about the built environment and how it affects physical, mental and social health. Through interdisciplinary collaboration between students and faculty, the club will explore solutions for promoting greater community health. The advisor for the Design-Health Club is Dr. Mohammad Gharipour. Contact Dr. Gharipour via email at email@example.com for more information about the Design-Health Club. You can find more about the Design-Health Club here.
The second club created is the S.M.A.R.T. Club, or Students Mentored in Applied Research Techniques. The advisor for this club is Dr. Kadir Aslan. The S.M.A.R.T. Club encourages students to explore the world of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (commonly referred as STEM) by cultivating the knowledge on applied research techniques, supporting involved students via mentorship in proposal/research writing, and guiding students in qualitative research. If you would like more information about the S.M.A.R.T. Club, contact Dr. Aslan via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can find more information about the S.M.A.R.T. Club here.
