As a biogeochemist by training, Amanda Knobloch works to increase environmental literacy and reduce stigmas surrounding perceived difficult scientific topics. At the PEARL, she collaborates with local schools and organizations to create and implement innovative K-12 programs to enhance the quality and scope of environmental education. She is also involved with undergraduates through the summer intern program, volunteer work, and designing other programming designed for undergraduate education. While her primary interest is chemistry, she has a background in horticulture, geology, and biology, and hopes to develop innovative interdisciplinary programming for all ages.
