The Music Program at Morgan State University is housed in the beautiful Carl J. Murphy Fine Arts Center located at 2201 Argonne  Drive on the south side of the campus. This is the home to the three academic units within of the Department of Fine & Performing Arts; Music, Theatre Arts and Visual Arts. The Department of Fine & Performing Arts was established in 1987 and is led by our Chairperson, Dr. Eric Conway. 

SHADOW A MUSIC MAJOR

Have you ever wondered what it is like to be a music major at Morgan State University?  If you are a high school Junior or Senior, please register for our Shadow a Music Major Day that will take place on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 10:30am.  During this event you will have a chance to:

  • Attend a music theory or aural skills class
  • Experience an ensemble rehearsal
  • Sit in on a private lesson
  • Learn about the application process
  • Learn about scholarship opportunities

Parents are welcome to meet with Admissions, a Financial Aid Advisor, and a Music Academic Advisor.
