The Minor in Sociology

What Is Sociology?

The study of social life, social change, and the social causes and consequences of human behavior. Sociologists investigate the structure of groups, organizations, and societies and how people interact within these contexts.

A Sociology minor perfectly complements so many disciplines, from Marketing to Engineering, Education to Screenwriting and Animation. A robust understaning of society makes projects and analyses sharper, and makes students more marketable on the job market. Students majoring in other disciplines who choose to minor in Sociology must complete the following courses (18 credits), none of which may be used to satisfy requirements in the major or any other requirements for graduation.
