Patron Placed Holds or How to get a book from a USMAI library

What is a Patron Placed Hold?

If a book in not in the Morgan State University Library but is held by a USMAI (University System of Maryland and Affiliated Libraries) consortium library you can request that an available copy be sent to Morgan or one of the USMAI campuses for pickup. Patrons can place a hold on an item in any of the USMAI libraries through the USMAI online catalog. This is done by the patron anywhere they have access to the internet.

IMPORTANT: Articles from journals and magazines that we do not subscribe to in hard copy or through our databases, must be ordered through interlibrary loan service.  They cannot be ordered through the hold system. Most libraries do not circulate their audiovisual materials off campus.
