Department:  University Student Center

Duties: Performs Building Manager functions on Friday through Sunday; under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Operations, oversees the daily operation of the Student Center, which includes housekeeping, maintenance, retail operations, event management and related operations; assists in the coordination and oversight of events and activities in the Student Center; implements emergency response and risk management procedures; provides quality customer service; presents a professional and positive  image for the University; conducts opening and closing security procedures, insuring the security of the University Student Center; coordinates and insures the security of inventory; consults with senior administrators regarding policies, trends and interpretation of operational needs; supervises and approves cash operation procedures for retail operations; uses scheduling software to assist with events management and dissemination of accurate information; reports all facility, personnel and security issues to appropriate staff; and performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED.  One (1) year performing work with similar duties and responsibilities.

Requirements: Knowledge of facility maintenance operations;  knowledge of basic mathematics; ability to coordinate events; ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to complete logs and work order forms; ability to implement emergency  response, and risk management procedures; skill in use and maintenance of tools and equipment; ability to plan and organize; ability to use a computer to prepare correspondence and reports; skill in the care and storage of equipment and supplies; ability to prepare summaries and reports; ability to work Friday through Sunday.
