Department: School of Community Health and Policy
Duties: Coordinates clinical learning laboratory facilities and services in the nursing program; works closely with faculty and students to facilitate the clinical laboratory component of the nursing curriculum; creates and manages the laboratory schedules for the BSN program; assures that clinical laboratories are stocked and in good working order; orders and re-supplies consumable lab equipment; conducts quarterly equipment inventories; researches, evaluates, and recommends new lab materials, equipment, and experiments; coordinates daily activities and services of the nursing lab; schedules lab set-ups and monitors use of laboratory equipment and supplies; tutors students and coordinates tutoring schedules; provides assistance to instructors and students in a clinical lab setting; ensures that the lab and classrooms are clean, safe, and organized; promotes safe lab practices; coordinates and requests repairs of lab equipment; implements simulation activities with the Simulation Liaison; establishes and updates laboratory policies and procedures; prepares and maintains records and reports; and performs other duties as required .
Minimum Qualifications: Master's Degree in Nursing or related field. Two (2) years of relevant experience .
Requirements: Knowledge of laboratory policies and procedures; knowledge of laboratory practices and services; knowledge of laboratory equipment and supplies; skill in laboratory management; ability to tutor; ability to coordinate laboratory services and schedules; ability to communicate effectively; excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to operate a computer .
