Department: Planning and Information Technology

Duties:   Provides design, analysis and development of Banner Workflow to address the various business processes of the University; meets with departmental users to identify required functionality and capability requirements for business processes to be considered for workflow development; meets and works with departmental users and IT staff to review and develop requirements and functional specifications; develops functional specification documents that specify what workflow capabilities will support the work items identified, deliverables  and deadlines; develops and models specific Banner workflows that meet the requirements and the functional and technical specifications, in conjunction with IT technical staff such as DBA's and programmers; receives DBAs and programming staff from Oracle SQL code for database packages, business events, dynamic queries, and JavaScript's as needed for the workflows;  develops testing plans , implements and executes those plans and procedure; assists with  training ; provides Oracle SQL code for database packages, business, events, dynamic queries, and JavaScript's, as needed for workflows; Banner test environments;  develops and models specific workflows that meet Banner workflows;  assists with configuration of Banner Workflow and related application modules; Assist functional units with the configuration of Banner Workflow and related applications modules; documents the needs and required capability of Banner Workflow development; supports items identified in the requirement documents; provides training and analysis in the use of Banner Workflow, along with database administrators and IT; reviews and update Business Process Documentation (analysis) from designated functions in designated departments and divisions of the University, and performs other duties, as required.                                                                                                                                          

Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Higher Education, Liberal Arts, Computer Information Technology, or other closely related field.  Seven(7) years experience in the development and implementation of the Ellucian Banner Workflow  module and in the creation of Workflows in automating business processes .

Requirements:  Knowledge of applications development; knowledge of test environments and database packages; skill in use of ellucian banner; skill in design and analyses; ability to develop, plan, and, analyze programs; knowledge of Banner Workflows; skill in graphing tools such Microsoft Vision or Concept Draw; ability to train users and other personnel; ability to resolve issues with Banner Workflow; and ability to communicate effectively .
