Department:      School of Graduate Studies

Duties:   Assists the Graduate Recruitment and Admissions Coordinator with daily operations regarding new graduate student admissions; scans files; coordinates new student applications; serves as a liaison for contacting Graduate Coordinators for file review; updates and monitors admission files; assists the Coordinator with forecasts and analysis regarding future applications, e.g., Embark, Banner, Axiom, spreadsheets, and databases to process reports; serves as a quality control contact in reviewing admissions letters and new student records; assists and coordinates preparation for future graduate fair events; and performs other duties, as required.

Minimum Qualifications:  High School Diploma  or GED. Two years in clerical work.

Preference:  Knowledge of and skill in Banner applications.

Requirements:  Knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment; knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation; skill in preparing reports, operating manual and automated office equipment; skill in performing mathematical computations; in performing routine clerical tasks; ability to plan and independently perform specialized clerical tasks; ability to understand and interpret department policies and procedures; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships; ability to operate personal computers and assigned word processing and spreadsheet software.
