Department:      School of Graduate Studies

Duties:   Assists the Financial Manager and the Budget Officer with processing Title III financial transactions;  assists in the development and print of the annual Title III report, budgets, and projections; use various software applications, e.g., spreadsheets, databases, Banner, Embark statistical packages and graphics to format data and reports;  monitors  the process of Title III supported graduate students;  ensures compliance with university and federal guidelines; assists with budget reconciliation by extracting and  analyzing financial data; provides current expenditure, balance information, and timeline on current awardees; assists with the monthly financial report; identifies  new Title III qualified scholarship candidates; maintains a stipend database and processes student stipends; works with other administrative offices to ensure procedures and policies; performs other duties, as  required.

Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or other related field  from an accredited college or university; Three (3) years of Accounting or Auditing experience.

Preference:   Knowledge of and skill in Banner applications.

Requirements:   Knowledge of Federal or Non-Federal regulations and operational policies; skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel and Word; ability to perform cost analysis of financial products and services; ability communicate effectively; ability to work with accuracy and give attention to detail; ability to design, analyze, and prepare financial reports; ability to monitor expenditures and maintain data.
