Department: Police and Public Safety

 

Duties:  Performs a variety of duties in support of sworn public safety personnel; reports conditions that constitute a breach of sound security or pose a potential security hazard; secures and monitors entrances and exits to buildings and property; patrols the interior and grounds of designated buildings, noting any discrepancies and notifying the proper authorities upon discovery; responds to on site incidents that threaten the well-being of faculty, staff, and/or students; completes logs and basic reports; responds to routine inquires, maintains communication with appropriate personnel and performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED

Requirements: Ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to complete basic reports; ability to detect situations imperiling life, safety, and property; ability to perform extensive sitting, standing, and walking; ability to communicate effectively; ability to operate two way radios and telephones.
