Department: Information Technology
Duties: Manages university-wide information security programs and systems; provides leadership and guidance for University computer, network, related systems security, cyber security awareness programs, IT risk management, and cyber security incident management; develops, manages, and disseminates requisite policies, guidelines, and procedures for protecting data and information systems; oversees information systems and related technology risk management; oversees security awareness programs; oversees security incident management programs; staffs the University Information Security and Architecture committee; develops guidance, protocols, and procedures for University data and network security; oversees systems security configuration for all University data and information systems; oversees systems security certifications; assists with the design of network security infrastructure, and manage systems security classifications; works with various departments on campus to enforce University security policies; oversees security incident investigations and mitigations; conducts systems security awareness training for the University community; manages the annual cyber security awareness month events and activities; manages critical cyber security infrastructure at the University; reports to the CIO and manages security metrics developments, and other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in computer engineering, mathematics or related area; DODD-8570 certification i.e., CISSP or better; 5 years progressive experience in cyber security.

Preferred: Candidates with management background; Post-bachelors degree in related field will be given consideration.
Requirements: Knowledge of Information Security; knowledge of security configuration and certification for University data and information systems; ability to develop cyber security and related policies for the University; ability to develop guidance, and procedures for University data and network security; ability to communicate effectively; ability to analyze, problem-solve, and resolve issues, in order to maximize the benefits of current and future IT security for the University.
