Department:  Residence Life  

Duties:   Ensures databases and software applications performance, availability, operational integrity, and security; designs, develops, installs, implements, modifies, and supports the new and existing applications of software; analyzes functional and system requirements; develops application and database architecture and design; writes codes, validates data acquisition and output media; designs user interfaces; develops and maintains websites, interactive applications, simulations, and video streaming; works with users to test, debug, and troubleshoot applications, assures software and systems quality and functionality; writes and maintains program technologies; ensures the rigorous application of information of security/ information assurance policies, principles, and practices; coordinates with staff to help achieve a state of the art environment that meets the Office of Residence Life & Housing current and future objectives, such as, residential instruction, learning, research, assessment, data base, and archives functional capabilities; and performs other duties, as required.                                                                       

Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelors Degree in Computer and Information Technology or a related field; five years (5) of progressively responsible experience performing programmer analyst functions with PL/SQL programming skills; three years (3)of experience  to include working with SunGard Banner Tables . 

Preference:  3 years experience working in a college or university setting in IT or a related IT technical services. Experience working with Student Affairs or related areas. 

Requirements: Knowledge of database/ datasheet settings; knowledge of RMS directory and file structure; skill in performance management, skill in decision making, and program budget management; ability to delegate, make strategic and organizational planning, manage crisis, and communicate effectively.
