Office of Student Employment
The Student Employment Work Programs (SEWP) at Morgan State University (MSU) is a federal program that provides financial assistance to students through employment opportunities. The SEWP has been established to provide on and off-campus job opportunities for students during and between periods of attendance. These jobs must be suitable to the scheduling and other needs of the employed student(s). SEWP must reinforce the educational program or vocational goal of the student. As such, the positions listed through SEWP must be with non-profit or profit employers offering opportunities to currently enrolled students.
The Student Employment Office (SEO) provides part-time employment opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students in our community. This office acts as a referral service that advertises federal and non-federal jobs.
For on-campus jobs, we advise that returning students choose their own job. But new applicants must submit an employment application and resume to SEO for employment consideration. For all other assignments, please contact SEO in person.
Determination of eligibility is based on regulations and confidential information regarding the student's financial status. Students awarded must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and must be a matriculated student at the university.
