FAFSA Checklist

Documents Needed

 You will need records of income earned in the year prior to when you will start school. You may also need records of your parents´ income information if you are a dependent student. You may print a copy of this page by selecting the Print This Page button at the top or bottom of the page.

For the 2014-2015 school year you will need financial information from 2013. You will need to refer to:

Your Social Security Number. Be sure it is correct!

Your driver's license (if any)

Check Box

Your 2013 W-2 Forms and other records of money earned

Your (and your spouse´s, if you are married) 2013 Federal Income Tax Transcript from the IRS.

·     IRS 1040, 1040A, 1040 EZ(tax transcript only from the IRS)

·     Foreign Tax Return, or

·     Tax Return for Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Marshall Islands, the Federal States of Micronesia, or Palau

Please make sure to indicate your high school information on your FAFSA.

  •        Question #27 on the FAFSA asks "What is the name of the high school where you received or will receive your high school diploma? Enter the complete high school name and the city and state where the high school is located.

 

To organize your information, print and complete a FAFSA on the Web Worksheet before you begin entering your information online.

Keep these records! You may need them again. Do not mail your records to Federal Student Aid.
