A number of internships will require a statement of interest. This statement must be closely aligned to that of one of the researchers at the institution. Read the capability statement of the company, university, group etc. carefully to craft your statement. If you have nothing in your experience that correlates, then this is a job or opportunity that you are not suitable for.
