Bernard Osher Scholarship

The Bernard Osher Foundation, based in San Francisco, CA was founded by Mr. Bernard Osher, a well respected businessman and community leader. The foundation provides post secondary scholarship funds to colleges and universities across the nation. The mission of the foundation is "to improve the quality of life through the support of higher education and fine arts."

The first ever award to Morgan State University's The Center for Continuing and Professional Studies in 2008 was to establish the Osher Re-entry Scholarship Program for adult students. Based on the success of the program, in 2011, The Bernard Osher Foundation provided a $1 million dollar endowed gift to continue the support of the Osher Re-entry Scholarship Program.

If you believe the Osher Program is right for you, the criteria for admissions are as follows:

  • Currently enrolled as a part-time or full-time MSU student
  • Returning to the University after a gap of 5 or more years
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree
  • Between the ages of 25-50
  • U.S. Citizen and Maryland Resident
  • Have a GPA of 2.7 or higher
