Chi Alpha Epsilon
Chi Alpha Epsilon (XAE) was founded in 1989 at West Chester University of Pennsylvania and endorsed by the National Association of Development Educators (NADE) in 1996. The society was formed to recognize the academic achievements and accomplishments of students admitted to colleges and universities through alternative admissions criteria or those who utilized developmental and educational support services, such as the CASA Academy program. Members hold a 3.0 cumulative grade point average for two consecutive full-time semesters, or 3-4 consecutive part-time semesters.
The Epsilon Phi Colony of Chi Alpha Epsilon was established in February, 2009 at Morgan State University. The charter chapter members were initiated in April, 2009. Members participate in an array of academic education and outreach activities on campus and within the surrounding Baltimore community.
