Professor Leon Bridges recently received a 2012 Unsung Hero Award at the 5th Anniversary Celebration of the Sisters Saving the City. The commendation read "For your commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of young people in our communities".
Sisters Saving the City's, a local non-profit organization, mission is to empower urban youth to become positive and productive members of their community and to realize and step into their greatness.
