
Morgan State University Board of Regents
Morgan State University is governed by the Board of Regents, a 15 member board, as established under Title 14 of the Education Article, Annotated Code of Maryland. The Governor of Maryland appoints Board members for six-year terms, except for the student regent who is appointed for a one-year term. The Board appoints the University President, who serves at the pleasure of the Board. The Board also sets admission standards, review and approves university policies, budgets, and establishes the regulatory framework within which the individual units operate.

Committee Meetings 9:30 AM; Board Meeting 12:00 PM
The Morgan State University Board of Regents will meet on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 in the Earl S. Richardson Library. The Board will convene in public session at 12:00 noon for the purpose of closing the meeting and reconvening in closed session. The Board is expected to reconvene in public session at the conclusion of the closed session, estimated to be at 12:50 PM. The Board is further expected to reconvene in closed session to discuss additional matters so permitted under the Open Meetings Act, and to conclude in public session to take any final action on such matters. Concurrently from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., the Academic/Student Affairs Committee will meet in the Benjamin A. Quarles Seminar Room, 119, and the Finance and Facilities Committee will meet in the Senator Clarence W. Blount Seminar Room, 120). Academic Affairs will hold part of its meeting in Closed Session.
