Obama Celebration
Morgan State University is joining with the Baltimore community in celebration of the Presidential Inauguration of Barack Obama. Events surrounding this historic inaugural begin with the Morgan Choir’s musical welcome of President-elect Obama when he arrives in Baltimore on Saturday, January 17, 2009. The Morgan Choir has been invited to participate in the War Memorial Plaza event.

Committee Begins Search for Morgan's Next President
The Board of Regents of Morgan State University is conducting a search for MSU’s 13th president. After 25 years of a highly successful presidency that has transformed MSU into an urban doctoral research university of national stature, President Earl S. Richardson will step down on December 31, 2009.

Morganites Recognized for Excellence
Two former Morgan State University students, Lamar Hylton and Adriel Hilton, are among those receiving recognition in the April issue of Ebony magazine. Both were named one of the magazine’s “Young Leaders Under 30” for their educational achievements, service to the community and leadership.

Kellogg Foundation Grant
Morgan State University President Earl S. Richardson announced today that the University’s National Center for Health Behavioral Change has been awarded $400,000 from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation for the development of a new campaign for HIV prevention and policy in African American communities.
