Morgan Volunteers Help Rebuild Community Playground

122 Morgan State University students, staff and alumni were among the volunteers who worked to rebuild the YMCA playground at Stadium Place in East Baltimore, destroyed by fire in the fall of 2008. For five consecutive days this spring, Team Morgan, along with hundreds of other volunteers, shoveled dirt and sand, cut wood, hammered nails before finally presenting the YMCA with a new playground. The new playground officially reopened July 2, 2009.
