Morgan State Hosts Eight International Conferences
Morgan State University will host the following eight international conferences organized by the World Scientific and Engineering Academy and Society (WSEAS) (www.wseas.org), to be held concurrently from Nov. 7-9, 2009 in the new Communications Center: 1. 11th WSEAS International Conference on MATHEMATICAL and COMPUTATIONAL METHODS in SCIENCE and ENGINEERING (MACMESE'09) 2. 8th WSEAS International Conference on DATA NETWORKS, COMMUNICATIONS, COMPUTERS (DNCOCO '09) 3. 2nd WSEAS International Conference on SENSORS and SIGNALS (SENSIG '09)(http://www.wseas.us/conferences/2009/baltimore/sensig/index.html) 4. 2nd WSEAS International Conference on VISUALIZATION, IMAGING and SIMULATION (VIS'09) (http://www.wseas.us/conferences/2009/baltimore/vis/index.html) 5. 2nd WSEAS International Conference on NATURAL HAZARDS (NAHA'09)(http://www.wseas.us/conferences/2009/baltimore/naha/) 6. 2nd WSEAS International Conference on CLIMATE CHANGES, GLOBAL WARMING, BIOLOGICAL PROBLEMS (CGB '09) 7. 2nd WSEAS International Conference on URBAN REHABILITATION AND SUSTAINABILITY (URES'09) 8. 2nd WSEAS International Conference on MATERIALS SCIENCE (MATERIALS'09)(http://www.wseas.us/conferences/2009/baltimore/materials/) Morgan researchers can make an invited presentation for which they need to send the presentation title, list of authors and their emails, and the presentation abstracts. Upto 10 such presentations will be competitively accepted and their abstracts will be published in the conference book. In addition, student researchers are encouraged to make a poster presentation for which the poster title, authors and their emails, and abstract are needed. The presenters need to register by sending their names and email addresses to the Conference General Chair Dr. Manoj K. Jha by email at manoj.jha@morgan.edu. 20 poster presentations will be accepted, preferably by student researchers from Morgan. The conference fee is 500 Euros or $750, which has been significantly reduced to $100 for Morgan attendees, primarily to cover costs related to meals. The fee has been waived for invited guests and student presenters from Morgan pay a reduced fee of $50. In addition, there is a $75 ticket for the conference bouquet dinner to be held at the Student Center on Sunday Nov. 8, 6:30-9:30 p.m. There will be live band and music, and a dynamic speaker during the dinner. The conferences are in scientific in nature and as such all keynote/plenary presentations are related to cutting-edge scientific issues in different fields of sciences covering the conference themes. Dr. Jha personally invites you to attend the conferences and let him know your intentions to attend the conference at your earliest convenience, but no later than Monday, Nov. 2, 12:00 noon. He will also appreciate if faculty members can volunteer to be session chairs.
