The Mission & Vision of the University Student Center

The University Student Center (USC) is the premier facility for student programming, departmental seminars, community events, and special events. The mission of the USC is to cultivate a space where the Morgan State University Community can utilize retail services like the Sweet Shoppe, Box Office, Information Desk, Bear Cade Recreation Center, and the new Balloons of Bears gift shop. In addition to the amazing retail services provided, the University Student Center is home to a number of auxiliary services such as the Barnes & Noble Bookstore, PNC Bank, Sodexo Catering, the Food Court and a new Chick-fil- A restaurant. This historical presence of the Civil Rights exhibit, Greek Legacy Stairway, Student Organization Hall of Fame, Commencement photos and the Mister & Miss Morgan State University Dedication Wall gives a birds-eye view of the rich legacy that Morgan State University has.

The culminating gems of the University Student Center are the University Events Office, the Office of Student Life & Development, Student Government Association Office and the Honda Campus All-Star training lab. These offices are the catalyst between student engagement and campus life. The Office of Student Life & Development is responsible for Special Events, Leadership Development, Student Engagement, and a host of other services. Additionally, the University Events Office is the central location for booking space at the University and organizes all logistics to ensure that both on-campus and off-campus clients have an amazing experience.

The vision of the University Student Center is to be the "living room" of the campus where memories are created, friends become family, and historical traditions are formed.

Message from the Executive Director

Welcome to the Morgan State University Student Center. We are delighted to have you in our amazing building where you can meet new friends and create memories that will last a lifetime.

While you are here, be sure to visit our Sweet Shoppe, Gift Shop, Bearcade Recreation Center and Esports lab as well as two eateries from Sodexo Magic and the Barnes & Noble Bookstore. If you are in need of tickets, feel free to visit our Box Office and utilize the onsite PNC Bank/ ATM for all of your financial needs.

We house the Student Government Association, Honda Campus All-Star Challenge offices, along with the University Events Office and the Office of Student Life & Development.

The University Student Center is truly the living room of the campus where you can take a break in our Bear Cave Lounge or sit in the Food Court between classes. Our facility has been used for eclectic events from students, campus departments, the community as well as the home to national conferences. We have had distinguished guest walk our halls and provide the memories of commencement, Greek life and student leadership at every turn.
