Programs

Department of Nursing

The goal of the Nursing Department is to prepare graduates to serve as leaders and innovators in nursing who will be able to meet the challenges of a dynamic, changing, and emerging health care setting.

Nutritional Sciences Program

As a student of the Program you will be well trained in the science of nutrient metabolism; medical nutrition therapy for various diseases and conditions; food habits and customs of various populations, food preparation and safety; and health promotion and disease prevention.

Health Education Program

The goal of the Heath Education Program is to support the mission of the School in the development of professionals who will reduce health inequities, promote health and transform urban communities, through the training and development of professional health educators.

Public Health Program

An education in public health at Morgan State University will equip students to serve communities in an empowering and rewarding way.

Congratulations Nursing Department on 10 Year Accreditation

On behalf of the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), the CCNE Board of Commissioners reviewed the special report by the baccalaureate degree program in nursing at Morgan State University and determined that the program has demonstrated compliance with Key Element IV-C, and that Standard IV is met.

The Board stated that upon review of the special report, the Board acted to extend the term of accreditation for up to an additional 7 years, resulting in the maximum 10-year term of accreditation.

CEPH Accreditation

The Morgan State University Public Health Program was accredited for a seven year term on August 16, 2024 by the  Council on Education for Public Health.
