Department of Accounting & Finance
Welcome to the website for the Department of Accounting and Finance. The mission of the department is to provide a high quality education for a diverse student population that prepares graduates for career success at the undergraduate, masters' and PhD levels. We also seek to engage in scholarship that advances theory in accounting and finance, contributes to accounting and finance practice and enhances teaching and learning. In addition, we provide service to the community and to the accounting and finance professions.
The objectives of the undergraduate programs are to provide undergraduate students with the technical and professional skills needed for entry into accounting and finance careers, and motivate them to pursue further study at the graduate level. The objectives of the graduate programs are to provide masters' level students with the technical and professional skills needed for career advancement in the public and private sectors, and prepare Ph.D. students for careers in research and teaching.

The Finance program of Morgan State University is a member of the CFA - Chartered Financial Analyst Institute's University Affiliation Program (UAP) signifying that it covers at least 70 percent of the CFA Institute's Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK).
